Argo Engineering can offer design or supply prototypes, and small batch runs for marine projects utilising our in-house capabilities and our extensive network of suppliers. Unusually, we are material agnostic and use the most appropriate materials for the project. Working closely with clients from initial concepts we can provide first principal calculations & global models for Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Once the concept is defined, we design from the preliminary stages through fully developed assembly drawings to manufacture & installation. We provide full structural analysis & reporting, constantly checking with clients to ensure the concept is progressing in line with their needs and expectations, providing robust designs that often have to fit in with the delivery of larger projects. Our previous work includes clash & interference checking and designing housing units for sensor systems - providing full engineering drawings & assembly manuals where appropriate. We have also created a parametric 3D model of a designed structure along with appropriate packaging & cabling. In designing and manufacturing a keel gondola for Unmanned Surface Vessels, we manufactured from a combination of Composite, POM-C, Stainless steel, Lead & Aluminium, underlining our ethos of being material agnostic. Our clients benefit from full on-site installation support and a bill of materials for purchasing & fabrication where appropriate. Conducting site surveys and observing day-to-day working patterns, we are sensitive to the existing building structure and operations and its occupants and always comply with the company's safe working practices.
Argo can deliver a complete working solution using our network of existing engineering partnerships and local manufacturers. Our collaborative efforts with the University of Southampton’s Wolfson Unit’s CFD capabilities enabled us to understand hydrodynamic AT, enabling us to provide detailed drawings for manufacture.
